  Cynllun Gweithredu Cymru Wrth-hiliol / Anti-racist Wales Action plan

  Yn ystod 2020 a 2021, ymgynghorodd Llywodraeth Cymru ar Gynllun Gweithredu Cydraddoldeb Hiliol drafft. Maen nhw bellach wedi cyhoeddi’r cynllun terfynol, sy’n amlinellu’r hyn y byddwn ni’n ei wneud.

  Meddai Llywodraeth Cymru: “Rydym am wneud gwahaniaeth gwirioneddol i’r genhedlaeth hon o bobl ethnig leiafrifol, yn ogystal â chenedlaethau’r dyfodol. Rydym am iddynt ffynnu, a pharhau i helpu i wneud Cymru yn genedl wyrddach, gryfach a thecach. Rydym am sicrhau bod Cymru yn genedl lle mae pawb yn ffynnu ac yn teimlo eu bod yn cael eu gwerthfawrogi“.

  Yn y cynllun maen nhw’n egluro:

  • pam rydyn ni’n gwneud y gwaith hwn;

  • beth rydyn ni eisiau ei gyflawni erbyn 2030, a sut byddwn ni’n gwneud hynny;

  • beth yw hiliaeth, a beth yw gwrth-hiliaeth;

  • sut mae gwrth-hiliaeth yn wahanol i ymdrechion blaenorol i fynd i’r afael â hiliaeth;

  • beth sy’n wahanol am y cynllun hwn, ac enghreifftiau o’r camau rydyn ni’n eu cymryd;

  • sut byddwn ni’n sicrhau nad yw’r cynllun hwn yn methu;

  • beth yw’r her i bob un ohonon ni.

  During 2020 and 2021 the Welsh Government consulted on a Draft Race Equality Action Plan. They have now published the final plan, setting out what they will do.

  The Welsh Government says: “We want to make a real difference to current and future generations of ethnic minority people. We want them to thrive, and to continue to help make Wales a greener, stronger and fairer nation. We want a Wales where everyone thrives and feels valued”.

  In the plan they explain:

  • why we are doing this work;

  • where we want to get to by 2030, and how we will do it;

  • what is racism, and what is anti-racism;

  • how anti-racism differs from past efforts to tackle racism;

  • what is distinctive about this plan, and examples of actions we are taking;

  • how we will make sure that this plan does not fail;

  • what the challenge is for us all.
